About the programmes
Public administration programs trains students to be analysts, helping to design effective government programs. They are committed to nurturing leaders who can use these tools to effect real change, not only in government agencies, but also in the private and nonprofit sectors
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars and personal tutorials, practical sessions, guest speakers. This is all arranged in correlation with lectures/professors. You will also spend a significant amount of time in doing personal study.
Lectures are given in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. You have to check with the Faculty coordinator whether they give the opportunity to follow lectures and take exams in English or any other language.
Assessment is by courseware, classroom tests and examinations. Group learning, teamwork, individual work and communication skills are assessed through group studies and reports as well as presentations. Students are expected to develop a broad range of transferable skills, including research, essay-writing and statistical analysis.
Degree and qualifications
The first cycle lasts 4 years of study (total of 240 ECTS) in order to obtain the degree of Bachelor.
The second cycle lasts 1 year of study (total of 60 ECTS) and leads to a Master degree.
Careers in public policy could include: Budget analyst, Diplomat, Foreign affairs officer, Non-profit organization founder, Outreach consultant, Policy adviser, Policy developer, etc.
